Babysitting
Being unemployed at the moment the only way I am making money is by babysitting. I have to say luckily most of the kids I babysit for are pretty easy. The occasional exception being when it’s bedtime. Some kids don’t want to be put to bed by anyone other then their parents. Then there are toddlers. They are the worst, but even that is manageable. Toddlers tend to cry when their parents leave, not a problem they usually calm down in ten minutes tops.
However, when it comes time to put a toddler to bed the crying starts again sometimes even worse. This is harder to deal with. When a cranky toddler has to be put to bed if they are screaming I find the best strategy is to walk out the room and just let them cry. Don’t get me wrong I’m not evil if the crying doesn’t stop withing five or ten minutes then I’ll go back in and try to console them, but sometimes it’s best to let them just cry it out.
